The privacy and security of the personal information entrusted to us is of the upmost importance to Texas Fifth Wall Roofing Systems, Inc. (“TFW”). We want to provide individuals with details about a recent cybersecurity incident and explain that we continue to take significant measures to protect their information.
On November 20, 2024, TFW became aware of unauthorized access to our network environment. Upon learning of this issue, we immediately launched an investigation and contained and secured the network. As part of the investigation, we have been working very closely with third-party cybersecurity professionals experienced in handling these types of incidents. The investigation aimed to determine the nature and scope of the incident and whether any sensitive data, including personal information, was accessed and/or acquired by an unauthorized party.
After a thorough forensic investigation and document review, we determined on December 11, 2024, that on or about November 20, 2024, that an unauthorized individual(s) had accessed or acquired certain impacted files containing personal information from TFW’s network for current and former employees.
The impacted data contained individuals’ personal information, including full names, social security numbers, and health insurance information. Please note that impacted information varies by individual.
TFW has no evidence that any information has been or will be misused as a direct result of this incident. Nevertheless, out of an abundance of caution, on January 9, 2025, TFW sent notice to potentially impacted individuals to the extent it had their last known address. TFW encourages individuals to take actions to help protect their personal information. These actions include placing a Fraud Alert and Security Freeze on their credit files and obtaining a free credit report. Additionally, individuals should always remain vigilant in reviewing their credit reports on a regular basis and report any irregular activity to the proper authorities immediately.
