Training Program
Texas Fifth Wall Roofing provides an extensive two-year on-the-job training program. Beyond fieldwork, this program offers 96 hours of training including, orientation, safety, and classroom focuses. Upon completion of the training hours, there will be a final examination to earn certification.
Hiring Veterans
The Texas Fifth Wall Roofing on-the-job training program is recognized by the State of Texas and the Veterans Workforce Commission. This recognition offers a veteran the opportunity to utilize the Forever GI Bill to attend our training program instead of college.
E Verify
All starting Texas Fifth Wall Roofing employees are E Verified through the U.S. Customs and Immigration Services system. This means we follow the guidelines set forth in the E Verify Memorandum of Understanding for Employers (MOU). E-Verify works by electronically comparing the information from an employee’s Form I 9 with records available to SSA and/or DHS to verify the identity and employment eligibility of each newly hired employee and/or employee assigned to a covered federal contract.

Commercial Laborers and Roofers
We are looking for efficient, safety-minded laborers and roofers. We have long-term work available for the right candidate(s). We offer a consistent work schedule, competitive pay, and benefits. For laborers that wish to complete our certified two-year training program requirements, we offer on-the-job training coupled with classroom training to provide a clear path to become a “Commercial Single-Ply Roofer.” We will train each applicant with the basic construction industry standards and safety compliance. The ideal candidate must be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely.
Basic Requirements
- Reliable transportation to the office every morning (on time).
- Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs. and navigate construction jobsite terrain.
- Ability to listen attentively and follow directions.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment provided by Texas Fifth Wall Roofing.
Responsibilities (during training / once trained)
- Work efficiently with your team.
- Identify tools and materials needed for the project(s).
- Perform set up and clean up tasks at jobsite(s) roof and ground.
- Lay out insulation, fasten down insulation properly, and help lay out single-ply membrane(s), and other tasks as required.
Experienced Single-Ply/Modified Bitumen/Roof Coatings (FARR) Roofer
Basic Requirements:
Commercial single-ply, Mod-Bit, FARR systems roofing experience 2 or more years.
- Reliable transportation to the office every morning (on time).
- Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs. and navigate construction jobsite terrain.
- Have tools, i.e., chalk line, tape measure, scissors, roller, hammer, keyhole saw etc. (standard roofing tools of the trade).
- Ability to listen attentively and follow directions.
- Properly wear Personal Protective Equipment provided by Texas Fifth Wall Roofing.
- Ability to layout Insulation/fasten properly.
- Layout various membrane(s)/adhered or mechanically attached.
- Flash walls, curbs, drains, penetrations, field wrap etc.
- Heat weld/probe laps
- Certifications in the following a plus: OSHA 10, OSHA 30 and CERTA or All Terrain Forklift, Man Lifts and similar equipment.
