Will Smith

President and CEO

Will Smith has been in the roofing industry for more than 30 years, working his way up from an apprentice to leadership positions across four large commercial roofing companies in his career. As the President and CEO of Texas Fifth Wall Roofing, he leads with a deep understanding of every level of the construction process. This leadership expertise sets the standard for problem-solving and workmanship to permeate throughout the organization.

Having first joined Fifth Wall in 2017 as San Antonio Division Manager, Will advanced to the Vice President of Operations in 2019 before being named the President and CEO in 2023 upon the retirement of co-owner Todd Hewitt.

Will started his career as an Apprentice in Chicago Il. Local 11 (United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, and Allied Workers). He became a Certified Journeyman Roofer with Carlson Roofing Company. His career has included leadership roles for roofing companies throughout Illinois, the Southeast, and Texas. With this vast exposure to differing geographies, he is an expert on how extreme weather swings impact roof lifespans and the proactive maintenance and care required to get the most out of roofing systems.

He is a lifelong learner and is currently attending the NRCA University’s Future Executives Institute at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. Will is a decorated veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corp (Security Forces), the United States Army (Airborne), and the United States Navy Reserves (Seabees).
